No sound from new PC

    This has got to be such a dumb question even in the beginners section!

    I am playing some music from a radio web site and no sound is coming from my pc (acer aspire x1300). I have a sound card installed and the device looks to be playing the music, i can see the volume indicator on the realtek digital output icon going up and down. I dont have any speakers connected but i thought the pc would use its internal speakers to play the sound.

    I dont get any windows sounds either.

    What do i need to do to get sound out of my PC?
