No Boot

    My net book did an update the other day and now will not boot. Says that the pal.dll is missing and to install it. Problem is the computer will not boot in ANY mode and when I try to boot from XP cd when it says loading windows it gives the error window and says for security windows was shut down. It tells me to run check disk or an anti virus program but you can not do ANYTHING. Any suggestions? Thanks Tim
    I have ordered the erecovery cd from online but don't know anything about that cd.
