Manufacturing dates says 09/08 I would think it would have lasted longer.
Only used probably 30 times in the past year.

The 160gb acer has been sitting in the closet for a about 3 weeks.
Go to turn on the other day and nothing but power light comes on.
A whirring sound but no boot, screen doesn't display anything.
If plugged in, the battery charge indicator is there with light.
If not plugged in, no light in that area.
I took out battery and put back in just to check.
It does have power, it does get hot.
But nothing happens on screen, hitting DEL doesn't do anything.
Same thing either way, no boot, plugged or no.
If it was a desktop, I would reset the CMOS, but no idea on a netbook.

    Very frustrating on this problem.
Do you have any ideas? Does Acer fix these things?
    Thanks

Wow I had no idea about this issue, seems to be common. Thanks for the help, that got me booted.

Anyway to avoid this in the future?
