I can't get network printing to work. My network printer is an HP2100 residing at 10.10.10.4. It prints from a number of other machines on the network. I can't figure out how to set up printing from my A1. Do I use IPP or SMB? Where do specify the IP address of the printer? I'm a complete novice at this; can anyone point me to a primer on the subject? Google has betrayed me.

Try installing via your browser http://localhost:631/ as this gives some hints during the installation. I installed a Brother HL-2070N and had to configure it for a fixed IP address and use LPD. My printer address is "lpd://192.168.10.105/binary_p1" where binary_p1 is the port on the printer. Yours will, of course, be different so check linux and HP websites for your specific printer.

HP have got linux drivers for the vast majority of their printers available. I downloaded HPlip and it automatically found my photosmart mfd, no problems.

    I would strongly recommend doing
(This first part may no longer be necessary--not having Linpus anymore, I haven't stayed up to date with its latest issues and fixes)

    sudo yum -y update fedora-release

It will either update or say no update available.
    After that
    sudo yum -y update cups

The cups that came with the AA1 was lacking.
If it's a network printer, once you update, cups, if you go to the printer configuration again, you'll see that there's another option, for socket://<IP address>. After choosing the make of printer, it should download and install the drivers for you.
