network center issues

    I have a A110 and the network center will not open, i am unable to connect to the internet via wifi or ethernet.

    I have deleted the gconf networking folder as suggested and this has not helped/

    I am however able to get it working by going to the termial and typing sudo /usr/bin/nm-applet

    then its all fine.

    I have to do this every time i boot up

    my question is, how do I get this back working automatically?

    Answers in idiot/newbie form please!
