I was trying to convert my old msi laptop into a desktop rig but when I took it out of it's case and reassembled it without the case, it stopped working. No parts were damaged and when I put it back into the case, it worked. This might have something to do with the sheet of metal lining the inside of the case.

If anyone has any ideas of why this happens or how to fix this, please tell me.

    Thanks, mikenar
