its like in the iphone... you use your two fingers , slide outward to zoom in or inward to zoom out. Im not sure if its the same with Linpus but in windows it is...

The touch pad has a handful of nice settings built in. The scrolling being my favorite so far. I just looked at the settings under device settings, and you have a lot of control over it. You can add tap sections to use as short cuts, as well as change the size of the zones. Their is a section that enables you to turn pinch on or off, it is on by default. So far I have only found it to work in firefox, which worked well. When I tried to pinch zoom in IRfanview, but it would only zoom out.

The AOA 110 ZG5 model that I have doesn't have any of the options you're talking about on the touch pad settings. Maybe they're just on the AOA 150. Can anyone else confirm this?

i haven't installed the synaptics driver or application under xp, which is probably why i can't find any of these features.

Sounds like a prank to me. I've never even heard of the Aspire One have a multi-touch function.

Believe me people, I just discovered this too. I have the windows xp version and it most definitely lets you zoom by pinching. It DOES have a multi-touch trackpad.[attachment=0:1ldezwwx]acer.JPG[/attachment:1ldezwwx]

There are Linux drivers out there, but I have not seen any with pinch implemented.

    Yet....

i looked in the xorg.conf and the driver is indeed Synaptics but i don't know how to activate any of the features like two finger scroll or pinch.

i have noticed if you touch on the right side of the pad and scroll up and down you can scroll vertically but its not multi touch

You can also scroll horizontally, and double tap - drag to change windows sizes etc

wow.. im amaze that this post got peoples attention..

So nobody can confirm if this feature is available with the Linpus OS???

I guess I can be the guinea pig and test this out... I just got a copy of the recovery disc for the Linpus OS and I will try to install it on my A-One tonight or over the weekend and I will post my findings.

    Wish me luck..

btw, it might also have to do with the model of the A-One... I have the A150 with windows preinstalled..

Well I have linpus lite running,
    Not working:
    camera
    audio
    wifi
    ethernet conn

    Nice desktop, weird cursors, different.

    Incorrect spelling of switch desktop.

Touch pad, behaves like a mouse so far, ....
    Playing with settings.

Are you using a modded version of the driver? If so, can you direct me? Because I've looked through there and I don't see a pinching function.
