Mode not supported - Samsung A656

I tried to connect my Aspire one via VGA D-Sub to my Samsung A656, but it says Mode not supported. I tried to change screen resolution for external screen, but have no option except for the default sreen resolution. I checked the manual for the Samsung; The correct size setting (resolution): Optimum- 1920 X 1080 If a vertical-frequency option exists on your display settings dialog box, the correct value is "60" or "60 Hz. What to do?
