After the last automated update I lost the Volume / Brightness indicators (Fn + ) the brightness change but the indicator is gonne, but the volume can't be changed this way anymore.

Does any of you knows what application controls that?

    Thank you in advance

    If you do:

    cat .XHkeys

you'll see all the key bindings.

Looks like the program /usr/bin/hotkey_splash controls the brightness. Why it isn't displaying the OSD, I have no idea?

You'll also find what deals with volume control in that file.

    Cheers.
