I have Xubuntu installed on my Aspire One, but I can't get the internal microphone working.
I have rebuilt ALSA as instructed here and I have put the following line into /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base:
    Code:
    options snd-hda-intel model=auto
The Ubuntu Community guide says that the internal mic should be working, but I get nothing. I have tried all the available audio device settings in Skype and tried to adjust every setting in the mixer for volume control but I get no sound at all or just some noise, nothing really from the mic.

Does anyone have any suggestions what to do to get the mic working?

I managed to get the microphone working after trying about every setting in the sound mixer with "options snd-hda-intel model=auto" in alsa-base.
