messenger not working anymore...

hi!
I haven't used my one for a couple months, and when I started it today, my messenger won't connect. I did a live update earlier today, and it says I have the lastest files.

But messenger won't connect either to yahoo or ms. it says it's trying to connect but eventually it says "Login Failed: No Reply." what?

Everything else works, I can connect to my wireless network fine, browse internet fine, chat on facebook, youtube, everything as far as I can tell. Seems like it got corrupted somehow. What do I do? I tried a search on here, but came up empty.

If you think something has became corrupt, reinstall it

 

reinstall what? and how?

I haven't been on messenger on the one for a few months, but it worked back then. My wife's main notebook crashed, so we grabbed the One but now we can't chat any more. weird. I don't know where to look to uninstall or reinstall messenger.

 

I got sick of not understanding linux, so I spent a day figuring out how to install windows. Actually works very well in only 8gb. And I could download yahoo messenger. We're happy campers now.
