media type supported by media master/mplayer?

    can anybody kindly list all media type which is supported by media master or mplayer which is included in the aspire one linux version.
    i don't know if it is my problem, also, can you listed media type supported by Real player linux if you know!, Thank you! :)

    I don't know, but if you install an up-to-date, non-broken version of mplayer, it will support pretty much everything you're likely to encounter. Since the One is an x86 machine, you might even be able to use Codecs from a Windows machine if the basic Codec set doesn't have what you need. VLC is also a possibility, but I prefer mplayer.

    I can't think of any good reason for sticking with any of the built-in media stuff, to be honest.
