    Hi,
I 've listened to a bunch of mp3 files in a single folder with the updated version of the Media Player when the player window went black and the audio subsystem crashed. I couldn't kill the process so I restarted the computer.

I've tested the same with vlc player without any problem far above that duration of listening. Any clues?

A simple fix is to turn down the volume. Listening to music at the maximum volume sometimes locks the computer up.
