I wonder if anyone can offer advice please? I was browsing the web last night when Firefox suddenly froze. I then found I couldn't shut down the machine at all so had to do a button-press shut-down.
Anyway, on restarting the machine I noticed that the little loudspeaker icon on the bottom right of the screen no longer appears. Audio works fine, but I now have to open the audio slider bar thingy from the "preferences" section or XFCE menus.
I've looked around all the XFCE menus to see how one manages the icons on the bottom right but with no success...
    Any suggestions much appreciated :?

ALT-F2 and run "xfce4-panel -a" without the quotes. Drag and drop the Volume Control from that window down on to the panel.

    Close the window.

    Cheers.

    rbil,
That worked a charm, thanks! Also added trashcan icon at the same time.
    Cheers. :)

    Hi,

Re-adding the volume control as shown in an earlier thread works OK, but it's not the same control as that shipped with the AA1 - anyone know how to put that one back?

    Thanks
