lost sound

    I leave my Aspire One plugged into the power socket all the time and play music and videos on it during the day.

    At night I close the lid and when I lift it the next morning I get no sound from any music applications, the Internet or Skype.

    Why is this and how can it be fixed? I assume I am allowed to close the lid!

    I've seen this too. I still don't know what causes it, but I've been able to get the sound back by opening mplayer and increasing the volume slider to 100%.
