    I would like to ask:
Can a 4gb Chromebook be enough to post product a feature film?
I spotted on a Lenovo n21 and I'll install Ubuntu on it.
    Is it enough?
Or do you guys have any recommendations for:
Laptop, video editing, at least 4gb ram, a good processor, 5 hours of battery life, I wouldn't mind Chromebook, price under 300usd?
Hope to have responds. Thanks guys

My husband is also going to buy a laptop as replacement of the old desktop at home. But his main consideration is the video editing because he makes home videos often. With a laptop, he is not sure if his old video editing software would run because Windows 10 might not support it anymore. I understand that it's not that easy to adjust to another software so he is thinking of that issue.

What software does he use? Is it free? Maybe he can install a updated version.

4 GB is enough for like movie editing if you don't want all the bells and whistles of the moderns movie editing software. I had done something like that back in 2005 with 512 MBs of RAM and really bad specs (when you compare them to those of today's mean machines).

I don't have a specific software for you yet, but I'll ask around some of friends who are into this kind of a thing and see what they tell.

Until then, you should try WeVideo editor for chrome. It has like 10k reviews on the chrome web store and seems to be liked by a lot of people.

I would not recommend any laptop under 300USD for video editing specially for a full featured film production. You need a minimum with 8GB, though 8 GB will be stretching, video editing needs tons of resources, a 16GB will be best. You will want a intel i7, any modern i7 will do. i7 is most suitable and the min requirement for video editing.
