Looking for a new laptop

Hi, I'm looking for a new laptop which can handle 3D simulations, rendering and image processing; has good computing power and is portable as well; I'm a student and I'd prefer not to lug around a 6 pound laptop. Budget of upto 1500-1600$, just want one that can meet my requirements. I would probably need to partition the drive to accomodate Linux as well, because some softwares I use run on Linux only. Some of the preferables are: 2x1, touch screen, long battery life, sturdy body, SSD. Please advise! Thank you! Edit: Some of the specs I've been told to look for are: i7 Processor, 16GB RAM, SSD hard drive ~512GB, and an Nvidia graphics card GTX960
