loading phone video problem

    can anybody give me a heads up on how to get my video from my phone that i put on to a memory stick as i dont know how to go direct from phone on to my linux. but they dont load as they are 3gp what ever that means. when i click to open it gives message 'cannot find codec for audio format 0x726d6173' any ideas on how to fix this,
