Just today bought a Acer Aspire One 150.

Now when I turn it on I get the Acer Aspire one screen where it hangs then restarts. This is the furthest the laptop will get and will not let me get any further. I've linked up a external cd drive and tried to load XP onto it. It will begin to load from the disc then just restart again. It will not allow me to do anything apart from access the Bios only.

Anyone got any ideas how to fix this? Tried updating the bios also incase its the bios but for some reason it always stays as v.3114 in the information bit. It's meant to be a present so don't have much time

If you've just purchased it and have never been able to actually boot it up, then I'd suggest you return it for a replacement. The problem is either serious file corruption when the drive was first imaged by Acer or a hardware problem with the internal drive.

    Cheers.
