Linksys routers sucks with AAO and dw1390

No connections I have tried 2 linksys, they didnt work.

Netgear is Ok

 

Not true, I have a Dell 1390 and I connect to my linksys router with no problems at all. And yes, Netgear works flawlessly too.

 

'Linksys' is a bit broad, you know. Some Linksys routers are rubbish, some are rock solid. Generally the WRG54G v1-4 are good, as are the WRT54GL series.

I haven't had any trouble with my 1390, but perhaps yours if faulty... it is a Dell part after all, and most are purchased from grey market sellers on fleaBay, making matters worse..

 

I really don't understand why so many people go for the dell cards so much when a genuine Apple card can be had for just a few dollars more usually. I just picked up an Airport Extreme N card on ebay for about $20 with free shipping! Yeah, the dell cards are cheaper, and they generally work, but there are certain programs that only work completely right with the genuine Apple cards. I had one of the dell cards in my previous HackBook and several wifi utils that I tried just didn't work right, or at all.

 

could you post the link where you found your Airport N card? Been looking and cant find any that cheap, save a Dell 1505, but Im wanting to go for an Airport card if at all possible.
