LCD is just white

    My LCD is just solid white and yet it still work fine - but only on the external monitor port. Fn F5 to toggle works - it even causes the LCD to go black when select it to be off. The brightness control keys work fine - but again all I get is various brightnesses of white. Even the BIOS screen is the same. Have made no mods. 512, SSD, Linux. Any ideas???

    Hi,
    I have the same problem. Suddenly when I started it from standby the screen started to go white,
    sometimes a few gradients is shown on the screen as well.
    It feels like the screen wont refresh (although using external VGA connector works) -
    when the screen resolution is changed the display will update - otherwise its white or gradient
    pattern.

    A few days before this I updated the memory to 1.5G - could be related....
    I'm running Linpus,SSD - original 3109 BIOS. BIOS update to 3114 did not help.
