For some reason, I've found that my laptop does not like me using it to charge my brother's tablet. A few minutes after I plug it in it shuts off completely and won't stop doing this until I've unplugged it. It was frustrating at the time because the tablet charger had broken and my laptop was the only way to get it charging. I haven't attempted it since. I don't dare try, to be honest.

Has this happened to anyone else? And what causes it?

STOP! your laptop is not strong enough to charge a tablet.

    You will damage the laptop.

I figured as much. Don't worry, I haven't plugged it back in since. I was just wondering what was causing it.

Good,The laptop would have heated, and caused at the least a couple of dry joints or components to fail.

I am not sure it because that the laptop can not charge the tablet. I will do a research and post an update to this post.
