Laptop for video editing?

    Here's my situation, I am looking for a laptop which can stay relevant to my lifestyle for as long as possible. I am a student, video editor, photo editor, slight gamer, and I've been narrowing down my search to Macbooks. The Macbook Pro looks like a great laptop for my situation, is there better laptops out there for for me? I am also interested in Windows laptops as well. If you have had a Macbook, how was the longevity?

    try asus laptops, they compare well to apple stuff for cheaper
