LAN Problem but WIFI Ok

Hi

I just got the AOA 110 last week (with 1GB RAM) but having problem with the LAN connection. I can surf fine on WIFI though. I keyed in the IP manually (coz DHCP doesn't seem to work) in the LAN-0 with

IP 192.168.0.2
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.0.1
DNS 192.168.0.1.

I opened the xterm & keyed in ifconfig, the IP is confirmed ok. Tried ping 192.168.0.1 failed most of the time but when get reply its very slow like 35s to 40s.
Checked the NetworkManager using

/etc/init.d/NetworkManager status

gets

NetworkManager (pid 2587) is running...

The driver is r8101, might this be the problem, is there a new driver out?

Any ideas on what else to try?

have you tried another cable?

Yes, tried another cable, tried another router. The green light is on the netbook jack is on with the orange light blinking which means the LAN is ok. I'm gonna take it to Acer's tech support, will update if discover any useful info.
