KVM problem - keyboard not responding

    Hello,
    I have a problem with connecting my D255 to KVM switch under Win7 -
    I just got a new KVM switch and it works just perfectly between 2 PCs being connected directly to PS/2 ports.
    So, I wanted to connect my D255 to that switch, and since there are no PS/2 ports on it, I bought a 2x PS/2 (mouse and keyboard) to 1x USB (single USB) cable.
    This cable itself works just fine, for example when I connect a mouse & keyboard DIRECTLY through it to D255 they both work without a problem.
    BUT the problem is, when I connect the cable to the end of the KVM, and then to D255, the keyboard does not respond; only mouse does. :(

    Anyone familiar with the problem?
