I had another look at the Kuki website the other day and am wondering how this project is going?

Can anyone answer a few questions please?
As of the most recent release...

    1) do both card readers work without terminal tinkering?
    2) is general speed and particularly video playback as fast as Linpus Lite?
    3) Is wifi performance as reliable as Linpus Lite?
    4) is fan control reliable?
    5) how easy is it to add new software (I already use Xubuntu on an old PC so know how to do this in the "normal" Ubuntu way).

    Thanks.
    J.

Kuki Linux 2.8 was just released this weekend. To answer your questions:

    1) do both card readers work without terminal tinkering? -Yes
    2) is general speed and particularly video playback as fast as Linpus Lite? -Better - glxgears reports 800fps
    3) Is wifi performance as reliable as Linpus Lite? -Yes, uses latest ath5k in kernel 2.6.31
    4) is fan control reliable? - Yes, installed by default
    5) how easy is it to add new software (I already use Xubuntu on an old PC so know how to do this in the "normal" Ubuntu way). -Exactly the same as Ubuntu.
