Keyboard map has changed after update

Hi there, the keyboard map of my Acer Aspire One has changed after the live update and now down on the right instead it s wrote unknown. Does anybody knows how to install again the map of my keyboard for my language! pls help me

A temporary fix is to open a terminal and type "setxkbmap xx" where xx is the language code (e.g. fr for French). This works but needs to be redone after each reboot. I am still looking for a permanent solution. Are there no Linux experts out there who can solve this problem ?

Your method works fine, and after i followed your instruction i loaded the live update again and now the keyboard map is perfect

[Solved] Keyboard map has changed after update

Yes, several elements are updated after running from the front-end:
> Settings
> Live Update
> Update

Should solve the EN(UK) keyboard layout problem as it now displays for me EN(US) instead of EN only before. :geek:

Any other problems solved?

I have just run the updates and it has solved nothing for me. I still have the OS in English with a UK keyboard map and no way of activating the French keyboard map that I require. Changing the settings in SCIM to French still has no effect.

it was messed up also for me but now it's fine again after the latest update. italian keyboard.
