Installing Windows 7 on MacBook Air 2015

Hi I just joined the forum and happy to be here . I have a question about installing windows 7 on my MacBook Air 2015 presently running 10.13.2 I am told Windows7 can be installed on 2015 models only earlier models are compatible with Windows 7. Is this correct. I need to run Windows 7 and not interested in Windows 10 so please guide me in doing this. Thanks for reading my post.
