Installing software remotely like macbook air

    Is there anyway you can install softwre from cd's and dvd's like you can with the macbook air?? thanks :shock: :?

    if the AAO is on a LAN, and another machine on the same LAN has an optical drive, just share the optical drive and connect to it via the AAO. you can then install whatever you want from the shared drive... really like a Mac, isnt it just... amazing? :roll:

    You could also make an ISO or DMG of the disk on one system, then copy it over to the AA1 via network sharing.

    Try this link it's what i used to get it working.
    Installed Mac office from my iMac superdrive.
    Was easy!!

    hey guys! thanks. i really apreciat all the answers. this is a great forum. about the disc images.... yea i knew that. usually download that stuff... hehe but yea i think i just wanted to see if it was possible. thanks for everything :D :D :D :D
