I've just checked the PC World site and they are showing the Blue 8Gb Linux version and its available for collection in store, there seemed to be a number of stores showing stock.

My first (and perhaps only) post:
I heard from a second-hand source that PC World Aspire One stock has been recalled.
They used to be on sale for about £250. The listing still shows up on Google - but clicking on the link takes you to a generic laptop page now. No sign of the Aspire One on the site. Not a sausage.
Good hunting.

I am not disputing what you heard mate but who or what was your source for this? Is it someone reputable?
I bought my Acer Aspire One at the weekend from PC World in Purley Way (Croydon) and would like to know as soon as possible if I need to return the unit to the store.
I love the little beauty as well

I sent an enquiry email to this site that tracks Aspire One availability: http://www.aceraspireone.co.uk/acer_aspire_one.php
Anyway, their reply stated that the stock had been recalled. Don't know how they found out and I didn't ask.
If PC World were simply out of stock we'd surely still see the listing and a new stock availability date, right? So why isn't it on the PC World site at all? Why has it been completely taken off the radar? Just seems odd.
