icons disappeared

    Hi!

    After upgrading my aspire1 i found out that some icons disappeared from my desktop. As you can see in the img the icons i marked disappeared and now the desktop only shows 2 icons and the ones i marked are blank..

    What can i do do bring them back??

    please help :(

    I have this SAME exact problem! Happened right after I updated it also. I've looked at it using the desktop editor but can't figure it out! I look forward to hearing about how to fix this ;)

    This should help. I've just tried it and I'll let you know if it works for me. I just realized how cluttered the forum was due to this problem! Sorry! Hope this helps anyone else reading!

    I've had the same problem - I tried starting the numbering from 0 - problem solved! Many thanks.

    maybe I am totally out to lunch, but shouldnt Acer be coming out with a patch REAL soon to correct this problem? The has to be alot of users out there that have no idea about this forum but proceeded with the upgrade because "the computer told me too"
    I think as consumers we have a right to expect certain things from factory upgrades, going into the software to make corrections is not for everybody and is really uncalled for IMO

    The sequence numbering from 0 worked for me too!!

    I'm with you geep! But since Linux is such an open-source thing, it's almost like Acer expected us to expect the unexpected like this. Who knows! I still haven't fixed it myself but I'll totally take a look at it in a few minutes! I'm glad it worked for you guys!
