Beg pardon if this question has been asked, but I could not find it during a search.

I've got a bluetooth dongle which has been verified to work on other computers, including Win XP, Ubuntu 7.04 and 8.04, but I can't get it to work on Linpus.

I've gone into Add/Remove programs and added every bluetooth utility, but I can't figure out how to start up the SW.

    hcitool dev responds with: devices
but no bluetooth dongle shows up

lsusb shows: Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0a5c:2101 Broadcom Corp.

Obviously, I'm missing something at the babytalk level, but any help would be appreciated.

Good that you post the output of lsusb, because that is the starting point.

    But: from /boot/config... :

That means something has to be compiled.

    HTH.

p.s. there is a bluetooth thread in ..../networking

    Thank you for the help.

When I ran the search engine for the word 'bluetooth' all that came up were HW references.

I did not think of the networking/internet forum. Should have looked around a bit more.

    Best regards.
