How long does the smaller 6-cell battery last?

Unfortunately I didn't get one of the 5800 bats with my 10" AAO. I got the small 4400 [?] six cell, and it still seems to run a good while, but somewhere I saw 4.25 hrs as a test number. That seemed low to me. Anyone else testing it?

 

Two tests on my A150 produced 4:20 and 4:25 when the battery was new and had not been cycled many times. Both tests were with the wireless turned off and screen on constantly running an astronomy program showing star positions updated every 5 minutes. Haven't tried my D150 yet.

 

I was lucky enough to get the larger battery with my D150, and I get about 6.5 hours, a bit less depending upon wireless usage and screen brightness. I would expect you should get between 4 and 5 hours of normal usage, perhaps more if you pay close attention to battery wasting things (like wireless and brightness and other issues).

Just a heads up to anyone thinking of purchasing a D150 from newegg... it seems as if the black model is the only one in their inventory that comes with the larger battery, at least so far.

 

If anyone knows of a good deal on the bigger 5800's please post. I looked high and low for one and couldn't find one any place.

 

Those of you with the smaller battery...does it fit flush with your netbook or still stick out like the 5800mAh?

 

sticks out substantially. i'm returning mine for that and other reasons.
