    Hi Everyone,

I found a article in here posted by another user that gave technical information on how to change the way xp reads the SSD card for my Acer Aspire One. The info is great, but it didnt say HOW to get to the folder to make the changes! Can someone please give me a step by step where I need to go and what to do?

Here is the link I was talking about : viewtopic.php?f=44&t=2561

    Thanks!

That *is* a step by step; the folder name is incorporated into the filename ("/boot/grub/grub.conf"), so you don't need to change folder.

The only things it doesn't tell you are:

    1. To get to the terminal to enter the commands, press ALT-F" and enter 'terminal' then click 'run'
    2. The $ and # at the start of the lines given as input are the system prompts, you don't type them.

...but that stuff is all over the forums!

Hi! You mention XP in your post. The modification you highlight is for linux only. Sorry! That's why the post made no sense. :p
