How do I copy and paste in Xterm?

    I am trying to get this computer to see shares and I want to copy and paste some code. How come I can not paste into Xterm?

    Ctrl-Shift-C to copy and Ctrl-Shift-V to paste.

    If you are using xterm (weird!) you can copy and paste with your mouse. Just select the text and it will be copied. For pasting, press the right mouse button.

    If you are using Terminal (xfce default), do like BlackLagoon says.

    ok, noob question. Is Xterm the same as terminal?

    noob answer: technically no, but they do the same thing. Much like using Notepad or Wordpad to edit a text file.
