    Hi

I have installed VLC on my duaghters AAO, but to keep things simple I now want to change the configuration so that any media files when clicked will run VLC as opposed to the standard media player

Any ideas on where i find this setup ?

    Thanks for your help

    Rgds,

    1) Use Thunar (aka your file manager) to find the offending file (.avi, .wmv etc.)
    2) Right click and select "Open with other applications".
    3) Select VLC off the list and MOST IMPORTANT... tick the box at the bottom saying "Use as default for this kind of file".
    4) Rinse and repeat as necessary.

There may be a simpler way, but not being a total Linpus geek I'm not sure.
