Help choose a laptop for intense video editing/fast rendering

    I find myself needing to replace my 2012 Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 laptop (still running Windows 7) with something I can use for intense video editing applications, fast rendering. I'm told I'll need something with multiple cores and at least 16 GB Ram, and a 512GB SSD drive. Prefer to stay with a Windows machine. Budget is $2000-$2500. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
