HDMI Monitor - No Audio

    Hello, I have a Yoga 730-15IKB. In tablet mode you cannot add an external monitor (at least as far as I have been able to ascertain). Problem is, I want to use the keyboard so I have the laptop open flat with the external monitor perched above it. All seems to be well, the laptop screen is blank and the external monitor is working fine apart from I cant get any audio from the monitor speakers. I've switched the audio output to the monitor, checked the HDMI cable and re-booted but no joy. Any ideas would be very welcome.
