Has anybody added biometrics to their AAO yet?

I'm interested in hard-wiring a biometric fingerprint sensor into the AAO. Has anyone done this yet?

 

How big this biometric sensor is and what type of connection uses (USB, RS232 or anything else)?? There is not much space in AA1 for big stuff...

 

you can find USB fingerprint sensors online and the sensor itself is only a square inch at the max. might just have to buy one and tear it apart to find out how to mod it in.

 

Have you got any links to those devices?? All I found is rather huge stuff for industrial use and embedded sensors in laptops etc...

They look a bit to big for AA1 as they must be installed somewhere in flat part besides touchpad. I think gap between mainboard and plastic cover in this place is not big enough to fit any of those I'm afraid. Maybe there is other solution but ATM I see only this one problem... Besides of that I'm interested in some small mod...
