Can you use the messenger that comes with the one for Voice over instant messenger on google talk, or can you install stand alone google talk...basically I only ever "talk" on google so I am not really interested in skype or msn. Any help would be appreciated.
Don't know about the stock IM, but Pidgin can do google talk (installation instructions can be found from the forum). There's also a gadged available for linux. http://www.google.com/talk/otherclients.html
Thanks for the reply, does anyone know if pidgin allows voice calls to other google users.
Or would an option be to use Wine and use the windows google talk client which does allow voice calls? Sorry I have never even touched a linux machine so I am clutching at straws here.
