    I don't think the vulnerability of Internet explorer is much of an issue. Most of the people I know use an alternative of some sort that is less clunky and faster. Also, Internet explorer is made of spaghetti code, so it's hard think that they could continue the browser to an extent where it would be actually viable for users who have the choice to pick another browser.
