    Good news everyone..

My Transcend 16GB Class 6 SDHC memory card came in the post this morning, I switched on the One Inserted the 16Gb card in to the left hand side and after a few seconds I was informed that "expansion was upgraded successfully" and i now have 17.1GB free :D

    Oh! Awesome!

I always thought that the AA1 could only support 8GB max in either SD Card slot

how much are 16GB SD cards?

This expansion is a RAM expansion or a "disk" expansion?

They are out there, but they are fairly expensive. This one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PNY-OPTIMA-32GB-S ... .m63.l1177 (sorry about the absudly long URL) is $172. Still, this is about $40 cheaper than there were only a fortnight ago. By my calculations, at that rate in about two months they will only cost $8 :D

So far I have only seen class 4 32GB SDHC cards whereas lots of the 16GB are class 6.

    Hi,
Has someone apart from pinchez tried expanding the disk with a 16gb sdhc? I'd like to see more evidence (dont feel bad  )

i just purchased an 8gb this morning and successfully upgraded the onboard hd...problem is, whenever i switch to advanced mode in file manager the sd i added becomes a separate drive...i dunno if this is a problem or should i just stick to beginner's mode...i'm not really a linux savvy person and in fact i'm barely a week into it so any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance

Yes, and one more thing, when you expand the space with for example a 8gb, it should join with the main drive, but does this happen with Win XP installed or just with this Linpus Linux version?

i was supposed to buy a 16g sdhc but it costs (around 75$) just about the same as an 80g portable drive here in the philippines so i think i'll buy the portadrive next and upgrade to 16g sd if i'll have the bucks to spare :)
