    Anyone had any luck installing Firefox 4 on Linpus?

    Also, I posted to the driver forum, but no harm in asking, anyone used Linpus Broadcom wireless drivers?

    From what I've read, upgrading Firefox on Linpus doesn't work too well - it apparently requires upgrades to too many Linpus components, breaking Linpus. However, Firefox4 on Fedora 15 (now in beta) works well for me on my AOA150.

    I might leave it then.
    Hard to believe we are at Fedora 15 already, Linpus is built on Fedora 8 (IIRC) and I had an old work machine used to run 9 not so long ago!

    FF 3.6 does everything I need it to, and I have OSX and XP partitions for FF4 usage.

    Thanks anyway RockDoctor!

    I got Firefox 4 working on linpus with these instructions:
    http://linuxforums.org.uk/netbooks/inst ... ite-linux/

    The trick is to retrieve a missing library and unpack it into the /opt/firefox folder, getting rid of this error:
    /opt/firefox/firefox-bin: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version 'GLIBCXX_3.4.9' not found (required by /opt/firefox/libxul.so)

    Seriously considering switching to LUbuntu though.. There are instructions for doing that here:

    Lubuntu works well on the Aspire One, as does the Fedora LXDE spin (I've got both installed on my Aspire One). I tried both Gnome3 (Fedora 15) or Unity (Ubuntu 11.04) on my desktop PC - didn't like either one, so didn't even try to install either one on the AA1.
