i know there are like a million other posts with speedstep, fanspeed and whatnot, but i think we need a more specific post that we can use to track down any methods

so this is what i tried so far:
    iDeneb vanilla kernel
-voodoo battery kext & power kext
    *coolbookSE = fail
    *fan control = fail
    *smcFancontrol = fail

    -voodoo kernel
    *coolbookSE = fail
    *fan control = fail
    *smcFancontrol = fail

-voodoo kernel & voodoo power & battery kext
    *coolbookSE = fail
    *fan control = fail
    *smcFancontrol = fail

iDeneb vanilla kernel & intelspeedstep kext (XNU-speedstep) = panic
iDeneb voodoo kernel & intelspeedtep kext (XNU-speedstep)= panic

anyone has any other method that has successfully been able to control the fan? im getting tired of fixing kernel panics and installing and uninstalling kext
