I have a Chinese Aspire One with a Chinese XP. Due to a virus, I cannot access the internet. I've got all my important files saved on an external harddrive, and I basically want to start over...but I don't want to lose XP since I don't have a disc copy and it was a Chinese version.

I'm not sure how the recovery thing works. When it restores the Aspire One to the factory state, does that mean that XP will still be on there or not? XP was on it when I bought it, but I don't know if that counts as a factory state.

Yes, it reinstalls your PC like it came from the factory. (XP Installed)
