External Monitor - Everything's Fat!

    Hi,
    Just purchased a new monitor and am having an annoying issue.

    Kit involved:

    Lenovo Yoga 730-15
    Windows 10
    Huawei 23.8" AD80HW

    The problem is that everything from Desktop Icons, to application GUI's to internet browsers has scaled up. As a consequence, I haven't gained much of an advantage with the bigger screen. If I have two applications open side by side neither will be viable as you can see from the image below. Do I need a 4K monitor? If so would my laptop be able to drive it?
