External display

    I am not able to get my external display work. All I get on the external display is the background with no icons or mouse pointer.
    I went through the forums. could not find the solution.

    Have you tried switching to external-monitor-only mode? I find that my monitor dislikes the One's native resolution, and works better with its own 1024x786 resolution, which can only be achieved when running external-only.
