I have seen a few threads on where people have added an external wifi antenna to their good ole one, I am interested in doing the same but am having problems finding what I need and how to do it, as far as how to hook it up to my card inside the computer and what type of wires i need to steal from my old wireless router to do so, would someone mind maybe taking some pics and explaining how they did it?

I've done the antenna jack mod, but the best antenna mod is simply a USB wifi. The advantage of a higher powered device with no solder or epoxy required!

Its microwave . It will magically lose power at every turn and twist in the coax .

at 2.45 giga , any slight compression or too much length of transmission line , and

    you dont transmit ..

Dont use connectors , solder hard line direct to antennas .

next space antennas ( always use two antennas so

you can put more energy where you need it ) ...

WIFI will be the end of all cell phone companies on earth ..

we will approach the starving satelite owners with offers to connect local

AP´s to far off places ....

They had it coming , they tried to squeeze too much money from the public ,

with their narrow band cell phones ....

I don't know what you've been smoking, nor am I sure that I want to know - but you better cut down on it, or you'll start seeing black choppers hovering over your 'hood, and men clad in black suits wearing dark raybans talking to your neighbours, mmmkay !!?!

I appreciate the posts but none of this is what im looking for, im talking about themod where you take the antenna out of a router and install it on the side of the case of top of the back of the screen, although im also interested in the gigantic usb antenna, pm me some more details on how to build it? and anyone who has added an antenna to their case feel free to chime in and give me some info about how to wire/install it please
