DVD RW+- Drive

    Can anyone recommend a good external dvd drive for the 250 with a solid driver for WIN XP. Thanks :)

    There isn't a driver required as far as I know, it is just a plug and play dvd drive which i have a samsung dvd drive.

    I bought the HP DVD 555s from Wal-Mart. External power, I didn't want to use two USB connections for power to watch DVDs. It does not require extra drivers just to read DVDs or CDs. It comes with Nero 8, which I did not install.

    The drive spindle has a clip so it can be put upright in it's cradle while in use and of course storage. The drawer seems a little flimsy, so I support the front of it when loading and removing media.

    Seems to work well for the week I've had it. HP products have worked well for me in the past
