I have an Acer aspire 5 A515-51G-50W laptop. It has an 1TB HDD which came with the laptop and also a 250GB M.2 SSD which I installed manually about 2 years ago. The SSD has the OS and I don't really use the HDD.

Recently, I have had a lot of problems with booting. And now it says "Disk is likely to fail soon." for the HDD.

I want to remove the HDD but the problem is, I think, the HDD is being used to boot up my laptop. When I powered on my laptop without the HDD(I manually removed it) , it said, "Default boot device missing or boot failed".

How can I get rid of the HDD and use the SSD to boot up my laptop.
